Account Management

How do I create an account?

To create an account:

  1. Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation
  2. Confirm you are 18 years or older
  3. Enter your email address and choose a password
  4. Verify your email by clicking the link we send you
  5. Complete your profile (username, display name, bio)

Note: You must be at least 18 years old to use Pinporn.app. See our 18 U.S.C. § 2257 Statement for more information.

How do I reset my password?

If you've forgotten your password:

  1. Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password?"
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account
  3. Check your email for a password reset link
  4. Click the link and create a new password
  5. Log in with your new password

Tip: If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder. Reset links expire after 60 minutes.

How do I change my email address?

To change your email:

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Click "Change Email"
  3. Enter your new email address
  4. Verify the new email by clicking the confirmation link

How do I delete my account?

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Scroll to "Delete Account"
  3. Click "Delete My Account"
  4. Confirm your password
  5. Read the consequences and confirm deletion

⚠️ Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your content, boards, likes, and followers will be permanently deleted. We may retain some data as required by law (see our Privacy Policy).

How do I update my profile?

Go to Settings → Profile to update:

  • Display name
  • Username (can only be changed once every 30 days)
  • Profile picture
  • Bio (max 500 characters)
  • Website/social links

Content & Uploading

How do I upload content (pins)?

To upload content:

  1. Click the "Upload" button (+ icon) in the navigation
  2. Select images or videos from your device (max 10 files at once)
  3. Add titles, descriptions, and tags
  4. Choose which board(s) to save to
  5. Set privacy (public, unlisted, or private)
  6. Click "Upload"

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP (images); MP4, WebM (videos)
Max file size: 50 MB per image, 500 MB per video

What content is allowed on Pinporn.app?

We allow consensual adult content (18+) that complies with our policies. Prohibited content includes:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - zero tolerance
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII / "revenge porn")
  • Copyrighted content without authorization
  • Violence, gore, or extreme content
  • Hate speech or harassment
  • Illegal content (trafficking, drugs, weapons, etc.)

How do I create and manage boards?

Boards are collections of pins organized by theme or topic.

To create a board:

  1. Go to your profile and click "Boards"
  2. Click "Create Board"
  3. Enter a title and optional description
  4. Set privacy (public or private)
  5. Click "Create"

To add pins to a board:

  • Click the "Save" icon on any pin
  • Select which board(s) to save to
  • Or drag and drop pins into boards from your profile

How do I edit or delete my content?

To edit:

  • Go to the pin's page and click the "..." menu
  • Select "Edit"
  • Update title, description, tags, or boards
  • Click "Save Changes"

To delete:

  • Go to the pin's page and click the "..." menu
  • Select "Delete"
  • Confirm deletion (cannot be undone)

Why was my content removed?

Content may be removed if it violates our policies. Common reasons include:

  • Policy violations (CSAM, NCII, hate speech, etc.)
  • Copyright infringement (DMCA takedown)
  • Spam or inauthentic behavior
  • Community reports reviewed by moderators

You will receive an email notification with the reason for removal and information about appeals. To appeal, email [email protected] within 7 days.

Privacy & Security

How does Pinporn.app protect my privacy?

We take your privacy seriously:

  • We never sell your personal data to third parties
  • Your email address is kept private and not shared publicly
  • We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data in transit
  • You control who can see your content (public, unlisted, private)
  • We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws

How do I control who can see my content?

You can set privacy levels for each pin and board:

  • Public: Anyone can see, search, and share
  • Unlisted: Only people with the link can see (not searchable)
  • Private: Only you can see

Change privacy settings from the pin/board edit menu.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to verify
  5. Save your recovery codes in a safe place

Recommended: We strongly recommend enabling 2FA to protect your account.

How do I request my data or delete my data?

Under data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Delete: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data

To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR/PIPEDA) or 45 days (CCPA).

How do I manage cookies?

You can control which cookies we use:

  1. Click "Cookie Preferences" in the footer
  2. Choose which cookie categories to accept (Analytics, Advertising, etc.)
  3. Click "Save Preferences"

Technical Issues

The site is loading slowly or not at all. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Refresh the page: Press Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to hard refresh
  2. Clear your browser cache: Go to browser settings and clear cached images/files
  3. Try a different browser: Test in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
  4. Check your internet connection: Run a speed test or try other websites
  5. Disable browser extensions: Some ad blockers or privacy extensions may interfere

My uploads are failing. What's wrong?

Common upload issues and solutions:

  • File too large: Images max 50 MB, videos max 500 MB. Compress or resize your files.
  • Unsupported format: We support JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP (images); MP4, WebM (videos only).
  • Network timeout: Check your internet connection or try uploading fewer files at once.
  • Browser issue: Try a different browser or disable extensions.

Videos aren't playing correctly.

If videos buffer, stutter, or don't play:

  • Lower the video quality (click settings gear icon)
  • Pause and wait for buffering to complete
  • Check your internet speed (HD video requires 5+ Mbps)
  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Enable hardware acceleration in browser settings

I'm seeing an error message. What does it mean?

Common error messages:

  • "403 Forbidden": You don't have permission to access this content (may be private or deleted).
  • "404 Not Found": The page or content you're looking for doesn't exist (may have been deleted).
  • "500 Server Error": A temporary server issue. Try refreshing or come back later.
  • "Rate Limit Exceeded": You've made too many requests. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Report Policy Violations

If you encounter content that violates our policies, please report it immediately:

How to report content:

  1. Click the "Report" flag icon on the content
  2. Select the violation type (CSAM, NCII, hate speech, spam, etc.)
  3. Provide additional details (optional but helpful)
  4. Submit the report

Our Trust & Safety team reviews all reports. CSAM reports are prioritized and reviewed immediately. Other reports are typically reviewed within 48-72 hours. You will receive a notification when action is taken.
